Couples are allowed to bring their own alcohol, as long as they hire a TABC certified bartender with liability insurance. For every 75 guests a security guard will need to be hired.

We sure do! You are welcome to bring any professional vendors in, as long as they are insured and bonded. Our wedding coordinator will be happy to provide you with our friendor list and help you plan your special day.

We love animals and would love for your fur babies to be a part of The Shire, if they behave nicely! They’ll just need to be on a leash and have a dedicated handler throughout the event. Meatball the frenchie had a blast at his owner’s wedding!

Yes, like most venues we require that you purchase wedding insurance! It can be purchased through your own insurance company or through online options like WedSafe and WedSure.

The Shire will clean up and break down after your wedding or event. You are required to clean up personal items, décor and rented décor. This also includes any personal belongings in the wedding suite, unless you are staying the night.

The ceremony rehearsal is one hour and will be the day before your wedding, subject to availability. If the day before is unavailable, we will work with you to find another day.

Yes, we have A/C and heating in all of our cabins as well as our Reception Tipis!
