Autumn is amazing with helping plan our wedding and made sure every little detail was perfect. I really appreciate her being flexible and answers questions not just from me, but my mom as well late at night even! Brides, if you want a truly magical and unique wedding that leave your guests in awe even months later, then book At The Shire. Their pricing was very doable. We opted for their all inclusive package deal and we even got to stay the wedding night in the bridal cabin. It was nice to not have to drive off to a hotel and move all of our stuff and waking up in the morning to the beautiful scenery outside was so romantic. I highly recommend their recommend vendors as they know the space and have worked closely with Autumn and the venue. The tipis were perfect for our reception and our guests loved all the lights outside. It was nice being in the Sam Houston State Forest, but it is only a 10 minute easy drive into town. The ceremony site was stunning and our family members who use wheelchairs were able to get to the ceremony site easily. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this venue! We had an amazing experience having our wedding here last weekend. The venue is absolutely beautiful and so unique. The staff was very great at communicating and did an amazing job throughout the day. I highly recommend going with the all inclusive package as the vendors know the venue and it was extremely easy to work with all of them. We could not have chosen a more perfect venue than At The Shire for our wedding. The entire property is absolutely beautiful—every corner feels magical and made for photos. Even with the rain that popped up on our wedding day, the venue worked out flawlessly. A huge shoutout to our coordinator, Autumn, who was beyond incredible. She kept the day running smoothly, made us feel completely taken care of, and handled every little detail with such grace and calm. We truly felt in the best hands. I just had my wedding here and I could not recommend this venue enough! It was STUNNING. The staff was incredibly accommodating. These photos aren’t even the professional photos but I think they still capture the beauty & fun that At The Shire brought to our wedding day! Our wedding day was October 11th and the weather was perfect, be sure to let the tipis up if you get the chance, it really adds to the magic. Everyone who attended had nothing but lovely things to say about the venue and the wedding. Autumn, our day-of coordinator who works at The Shire has a TON to do with how smooth the wedding went! She is incredibly lovely and easy going, but what I appreciated most about her is that she stands on business! She is gentle but firm and these qualities are incredibly important for someone in that position. I usually take full control in most aspects of my life but when it was time to hand Autumn the reins, I trusted her 100000%. I could truly go on, but book here ASAP and you won’t regret it! I also recommend going with the package deal because the vendors are all very familiar with the venue and it helps take a lot off of your plate when vendor shopping. My brother even said he felt a little out of this world sitting in the pews during the ceremony! The golden hour here really was magical. The next day my husband and I walked the premises just trying to soak in the beauty of it all and really making sure we remembered this spot. It is a part of our history now and we don't regret it at all. Autumn was a life saver at many points of the day as well. She really made sure everything stayed tight, thought of ahead of time and flowing. Thank you to Autumn and the people who created this place. It really is special. Was a groomsman for my buddies wedding here and can say I was impressed with everything. It started raining so hard we thought the sky was falling and between the wedding coordinator my buddy had and the venue coordinator Autumn, they made magic happen. They had a twin plan and executed perfectly. Nestled near the national park in Huntsville, TX, the natural beauty surrounding The Shire made it feel like we were truly stepping into Middle-earth. All our guests dressed in costume—from hobbits to elves to wizards—and the venue embraced our vision completely. The atmosphere was enchanting, whimsical, and so unique. We had so much fun, and our guests are still talking about how unforgettable the day was! Autumn was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process. If you're looking for a place that feels magical, peaceful, and tucked away in nature, this is the venue for you.
