We fell in love with this place before we ever toured so we are incredibly biased but that being said this place is AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL. We went with a woodsy fantasy theme and had fun using the grounds as our symbolic DND tavern lol. We also did the DIY package; I appreciate that we were given plenty of options to look through AND the way they worked with us when we DIDNT pick their proposed options. Autumn and Katy were great points of contact for questions, comments and concerns. For me personally, it was like they helped the magic happen since without their help, I would have been missing a bouquet. We had the most unique and magical wedding day at this venue. Everything felt straight out of a dream. Autumn, our coordinator, was beyond amazing! Organized, kind, calming, and truly went above and beyond for us. She made the entire day flow effortlessly and helped bring our vision to life in every detail. We had our wedding in February and lucked out on amazing weather. The lights drew us in, but both inside and outside the tipis were beautiful, and our guests raved about how gorgeous it was. The majority of our vendors were recommended by the venue (which were exceptional) and got to DIY the decor which was easy to set up/take down. We also hired Autumn to be our day of coordinator and I cannot emphasize how much she helped and worked hard throughout the day. She pretty much ran the show. We got married here on September 26, 2025 and this was our wedding dream come true!! Autumn is amazing with helping plan our wedding and made sure every little detail was perfect. I really appreciate her being flexible and answers questions not just from me, but my mom as well late at night even! Brides, if you want a truly magical and unique wedding that leave your guests in awe even months later, then book At The Shire. Their pricing was very doable. We opted for their all inclusive package deal and we even got to stay the wedding night in the bridal cabin. It was nice to not have to drive off to a hotel and move all of our stuff and waking up in the morning to the beautiful scenery outside was so romantic. I highly recommend their recommend vendors as they know the space and have worked closely with Autumn and the venue. The tipis were perfect for our reception and our guests loved all the lights outside. It was nice being in the Sam Houston State Forest, but it is only a 10 minute easy drive into town. The ceremony site was stunning and our family members who use wheelchairs were able to get to the ceremony site easily. We had an amazing experience having our wedding here last weekend. The venue is absolutely beautiful and so unique. The staff was very great at communicating and did an amazing job throughout the day. I highly recommend going with the all inclusive package as the vendors know the venue and it was extremely easy to work with all of them. I just had my wedding here and I could not recommend this venue enough! It was STUNNING. The staff was incredibly accommodating. I was able to message Autumn at any time with any question and she was happy to help! They also gave me amazing vendor recommendations. The property was clean and beautiful.
